VA Outpatient Clinic Opens in Birmingham
Recently, the Veterans Affairs Clinic and Parking Garage in Birmingham, Alabama opened its doors ahead of schedule. A ceremonial ribbon cutting and program commemorated the opening of the facility with local Veterans and dignitaries.
“We are proud of this new facility and what that it means for the City of Birmingham. The VA Clinic will provide convenient and timely healthcare needs for thousands of Veterans who made great sacrifices to serve and protect our country. It’s truly an honor to have played a role in this endeavor,” stated Dan Price, Vice President of BL Harbert’s U.S. Group.
The new VA Clinic project features a 68,000-square-foot, Outpatient Services Clinic, which provides two primary care clinics, inclusive of audiology, radiology, a pharmacy and women’s services. An eight story, 2,334-space Parking Garage connected to the clinic, provides ease of access and convenience to the facility and the VA Hospital.
The new healthcare facility, located near the Red Mountain Expressway between University Boulevard and 7th Avenue South in Birmingham’s medical district, is helping to revitalize the area.
BL Harbert broke ground on the facility in April of 2014 and finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
