A Design-build project that was comprised of two, three-story barracks facilities, 120,000-square-feet each, housing 328 soldiers.
The Grow the Force Barracks was the final phase of a 35-acre, six barrack development. BL Harbert constructed both Phase I and Phase II of this complex, including the dining facilities, company operations, and readiness modules. This complex now provides housing for a total of 1,968 enlisted soldiers.
Organized around an entry element, and focusing toward the interior courtyard, the Barrack’s shape is composed of two wings extending from central lobby and common spaces. The common spaces contain entries, CQ desk and common lounge areas as well as support spaces such as mechanical, electrical, housekeeping, vending, recycling storage and laundry. These support spaces are convenient to all 1+1 rooms and are ADA accessible.
