B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Receiver to work in our International Logistics Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Applicants will be responsible for tracking and processing a variety of construction materials, inspecting goods upon delivery to verify delivered goods match order specifications and communicating with vendors to remedy any delivery inconsistencies or delays. Candidates should have the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Candidates will perform a variety of tasks and will work under general supervision.

Requirements

• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the US Government
• Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds
• Proficient computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• High school degree
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Industrial/Construction distribution field. (Experience in electrical, mechanical or general construction supply accepted)
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Industrial/Construction Supply Distribution industry
• ERP Software experience
• Ability to work occasional overtime and shift work as needed
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects
• Ability to work under pressure in meeting deadlines
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent communication skills
