Last week, BL Harbert International, in conjunction with Barrett Architecture Studio, celebrated the groundbreaking of Mitchell’s Place new expansion. The project is the first new addition for the center that serves children with autism since its opening in 2005.
BL Harbert International will lead construction on the 4,000-square-foot addition, which will include three new classrooms, a life skills room with a full kitchen, and additional support facilities.
John Hanson, BL Harbert International project manager, stated, “We are honored to play a role in the delivery of a transformative project for Mitchell’s Place. This project is truly for the children, and we are privileged to help them carry their mission forward.”
Construction has already begun and is slated for completion in August of 2016. Mitchell’s Place will remain operational throughout the project.
At Mitchell’s Place, we seek to enhance our reputation as a nationally recognized provider of quality diagnostic, educational, and therapeutic comprehensive services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
