NSBE Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK)
BL Harbert is proud to partner with the Alabama Power Foundation and the City of Birmingham on the NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) SEEK program. The SEEK program is offered to students beginning in 3rd grade through the 12th grade. The mission of the Summer Engineering Experience for Kids is “To increase elementary school students’ aptitude in math and science and their interest in pursuing STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) career fields, by having them engage in interactive, team-based engineering projects.”
This summer marks the 4th year of BL Harbert’s involvement. Our CEO, Billy Harbert, discovered the program five years ago and wanted to get involved. Since its inception in 2007, SEEK has served over 17,000 students nationwide.
