Olive Hall opens this week, where freshman students will move into their new home at the University of North Alabama. BL Harbert International broke ground on the two-phased project in August of 2014.
Mattie Lou Hall opened in August for the fall of 2015 school year and houses approximately 325 freshmen students. The Olive Hall will house 400 students.
Suites include shared bedroom suite-style units with common studies and gathering places. Both facilities include storm shelters to accommodate students who reside there.
BL Harbert International received the Certificate of Occupancy on November 24, 2015. Goodwyn | Mills | Cawood designed the 193,000-square-foot residence halls.
BL Harbert also served as the general contractor on the UNA Science and Engineering Facility, which was completed in 2015.
