Auburn University at Montgomery Wellness Center
Montgomery, AlabamaThis contemporary designed recreational facility serves as a gateway for the Auburn University at Montgomery Campus. In addition to classrooms, lecture halls, and labs, the Wellness Center houses two basketball courts, two multipurpose rooms, and indoor lap/recreational pool, indoor track, weight lifting/cardio areas and climbing wall.
The building exterior consists of brick, precast, stucco, storefront and curtain wall. Primarily structural steel frame with composite slabs with conventional spread footings. The building’s mechanical system is comprised of two gas boilers, one cooling tower and for air handling units.
At 73,500 square feet, it serves not only as a center for wellness, but as a sign of AUM’s ongoing initiative to update and modernize the campus to increase the quality of life and college experience for its students for many years to come.

The Harbert team has provided support through budget development, timelines and schedules, contractor coordination, project oversight while keeping me abreast of issues and resolution options.
