The production of MBUSI’s next generation of SUVs required a major expansion to the existing auto assembly plant in Vance, Alabama. An Alabama joint venture team of BL Harbert International and Gray Construction was selected to deliver the project using a Design-Build approach.

The scope of work includes construction of a new 1.7 million-square-foot body shop, the rebuilding of part of the existing body shop, an expansion of the SUV assembly shop and various logistical and information technology upgrades.
