Second Annual Blood Drive in honor of Faith Grier
On February 10, 2016, BL Harbert International will host its Second Annual #BeStrong #GiveBlood #HaveFaith Blood Drive, in honor of our dear friend, Faith Grier.
Although Faith is only three years old, she has conquered more challenges in her short life than many people will ever face. She has beaten cancer twice. The Grier Family faced many frightening days, when Faith underwent surgeries, procedures and blood transfusions. However, In April of 2015, Faith’s diagnostic scans came back clear! Since then, she and her family have been rejoicing and living life to the absolute fullest.
Faith’s father, Michael Grier, is a long time employee of BL Harbert. Serving as a Project Executive and in a Business Development role, he has relationships with everyone in the company. BL Harbert has supported Michael and his family in a variety of capacities but as a company, we wanted to give back to a cause that was lifesaving for Faith and other patients: blood donation.
Timed around Valentine’s Day, so many BLHI family members and their friends came out to donate blood in honor of Faith. Our inaugural blood drive was a great success! In only 10.5 hours, over two days in February, with the help of three American Red Cross Blood Mobiles, BL Harbert International donated 83 units of blood, which could save up to 249 lives. In the U.S., a patient needs a blood transfusion every two seconds.
On February 10, we encourage you to come out and donate in honor of Faith Grier. The American Red Cross Blood Mobile will be at our Corporate Headquarters, located at 820 Shades Creek Parkway, Suite 3000, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Refreshments will be provided, and you will receive a free t-shirt.
