BL Harbert International Marks Construction Milestone at ServisFirst Bank Headquarters
On Tuesday, BL Harbert International and ServisFirst Bank (NASDAQ: SFBS) celebrated the construction “topping out” milestone at the new bank headquarters, located in Homewood on Woodcrest Drive adjacent to Red Mountain Expressway. The celebration recognized the hard work of the construction crew and their excellent safety record while working on the new building.
“This event was to thank the workers for the progress they have made on the ServisFirst Bank project,” stated Clay Kyzar, BL Harbert Project Manager. “These men and women work their hardest when it is 10 degrees or 100 degrees outside. Without them none of this would be possible.”
“Our thanks go to the team at BL Harbert and Giattina Aycock and all of our subcontractors and other providers for their good work in getting our building topped out,” President and CEO, Tom Broughton said in a statement.
The ServisFirst Bank headquarters will feature a four-story, 100,000-square-foot building with a two-story, 46,000-square-foot parking garage and the capacity to house 500 employees. The building’s first floor will include a lobby with access to bank tellers, work space for bank employees, drive through lanes, and an ATM. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2017.
BL Harbert International broke ground on the facility this summer. Currently, more than 150 workers are onsite. Following this milestone, the construction team will concentrate on hanging the glass curtain wall, exterior sheathing, drying in the building and the interior build-out.
