Position Description

B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Civil Superintendent to focus on dirt works. Position focus will include excavation, shoring and soil nail installation. This position is based in various locations overseas.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations on site
  • Coordinating with the Project Manager on schedule, priorities, and site issues
  • Organizing and supervising the work of Civil/Architectural employees on site
  • Determining priorities and coordinating work activities within the design area
  • Monitoring ongoing construction to ensure the work is being done correctly and the project stays on schedule
  • Conducting routine inspections of work area to ensure quality
  • Ensuring all safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied within assigned area

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the US Government
  • 5-7 years’ experience as a Superintendent or in a supervisory role on large construction projects
  • Ability to relocate overseas to work on projects for 2-4 years
  • Working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must have understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts

Position Description

B.L. Harbert International is looking for an Electrical Superintendent to work on international project sites in various locations overseas. The position is the top manager in the field responsible for all aspects of the electrical construction contract including production, safety, and quality control.  As the use of subcontractors is very limited, he or she should have knowledge and background in construction means and methods in order to plan the work as a self-perform builder.  This would include the ability to plan the work including manpower requirements, materials, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with project electrical manager/Engineer on schedule, progress and technical needs
  • Manage material requisitions in coordination with site/foremen needs
  • Review drawings, and specifications requirements
  • Provide look ahead schedules and reports to upper management on site electrical progress
  • Manage tools inventory and dispensing
  • Work cooperatively with the quality control department in addressing defects and code violations

Requirements

Position Description

B.L. Harbert International is looking for an Office Engineer to work on International project sites in various locations overseas. Candidate will work closely with the Project Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Engineer with submittal packages including creating, tracking and follow-up and procurement including take-offs, requisitioning and tracking of materials

Duties:

  • Rough in PVC, EMT, Rigid raceway including bending pipe manually and using hydraulic benders ½” to 6”
  • Rough in of cable and ladder trays
  • Manual pulling power, telecom and control cables/wires.
  • Install/terminate main feeders, branch feeders
  • Trim out electrical devices such as panel-boards, light fixtures (drivers, ballasts, dimming), receptacles, HVAC devices, Fire Alarm, etc.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Ability to assess task/work duration and meet the target dates set

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
  • Must be willing to work 6 days/week 10hrs/ day
  • Must be willing and able to travel overseas for extended period of time
  • Follow all safety rules and work in a safe manner. (Knowledge of EM-385 safety guidelines is a plus)

On many of our projects, the QC Manager is the single point of contact for the client and holds the highest authority and responsibility for the control of construction quality. The QC Manager will coordinate and manage a team of multi-national discipline engineers that will provide the infrastructure necessary to ensure the control of construction quality.

 

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the BLHI Project Engineer and the BLHI Construction Superintendent in all matters related to the field
