BL Harbert Awarded B&D Expansion
B&D Foods based in Boise, Idaho awarded BL Harbert a contract to renovate an existing 55,000 SF warehouse facility in Americus, Georgia.
The location expands the company’s growing demand on the East Coast and is their first facility outside of Idaho. B&D Foods currently produces more than $1M in frozen chicken products weekly and expects the new facility to double that output.
“We are excited to begin this project with B&D Foods as it marks BL Harbert’s first food processing facility and first project in Americus,” said Jeremy Pipkin, Vice President of Industrial.
The existing facility will be retrofitted with cold process and storage rooms, new battering and frying lines, as well as a 6,000 SF raw material receiving addition. Construction began in June and completion is scheduled by the end of the year.
