Earlier this week, BL Harbert International celebrated a construction milestone at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. The Barber Museum team, BL Harbert International and subcontractors came together for a topping out celebration to recognize worker safety and all of the hard work completed to date on the new expansion.
“Wednesday’s topping out ceremony marked a significant milestone, for not only the project teams, but also for the Barber Museum Expansion,” stated Parker Evans, Senior Project Manager. “Mr. George Barber has created a world-class facility, spurring economic development, tourism and even a world record, right here in our backyard. BL Harbert is honored to be a part of the next chapter of growth for the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.”
The museum expansion adds 85,000 square feet to the current facility, totaling a quarter-million square feet.
BL Harbert International broke ground on the facility in September of 2015 and when the project is completed in October of 2016, more that 5,800-cubic-yards of concrete and 435 tons of rebar will be placed into the four level facility designed by Williams Blackstock Architects.
