BL Harbert International (BLHI) on Monday kicks off Construction Safety Week 2020 — a national, industry-wide effort to promote safety best practices and raise awareness of the importance of an uncompromising commitment to safety in the construction industry.
More than 65 construction firms across the U.S. and Canada have joined forces for the annual Safety Week. Centered around the theme, “Built on Safety,” BL Harbert is observing Safety Week with events and activities at its offices and jobsites across the country including Toolbox Talks, Training and Safety Audits.
“For our 8,000 employees across the globe, Safety Week is a call to action, an opportunity to show each other what it means to be safe and why it’s important to each and every one of us,” said Billy Harbert, BLHI Chairman and CEO. “We are proud to participate in Safety Week and renew our shared commitment to safety. Together, we are building a stronger, safer industry.”
“Safety Week is not about numbers, following rules or complying with regulations, it’s about sending every worker home safely, every day, on every jobsite,” added Frank Wampol, BLHI Vice President, Safety and Health.
