BL Harbert to Break Ground on Innovative 8West Development Project in Atlanta
ATLANTA — Executives from BL Harbert International, in conjunction with Atlantic Capital Properties (ACP), Gateway Ventures Real Estate (Gateway), Harvest Capital Group and Madison Marquette, are scheduled to host a ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of 8West in West Midtown, Atlanta on Thursday, March 28 at 4 p.m. To honor this important milestone, there will be a celebratory reception with hors d’oeuvres immediately following.
Located in thriving West Midtown—where Howell Mill Rd. and Marietta St. converge—8West is an innovative 9-story, 200,000-square-foot mixed-use project that seamlessly blends turn-of-the-century industrial architecture with Class A modern office design. The facility will feature office, retail, and art; all with views of the city’s modern skyline.

Thoughtfully designed to leave the existing retailers (Bocado, bartaco, Arden’s Garden, A Ma Maniere & Hathaway Gallery) in place, 8West will blend the rich authenticity of the neighborhood with a new state-of-the-art loft office building that will contain multiple outdoor terraces, 360-degree views of the city, a fitness facility, bike storage and repair, common collaborative spaces and conference facilities, and an outdoor public plaza. 8West is walkable to more than 30 of the city’s most buzzworthy restaurants and retail and boasts a WalkScore of 90 and a BikeScore of 91.
Working in partnership with ACP, Gateway assembled the land, provided concept creation, coordinated re-zoning will lead development of the $150 million mixed-use project.
Construction of 8West is slated for completion in summer 2020.
