Proclamation of Alabama's Women in Construction Week
Last Thursday was a big day as Governor Kay Ivey signed the proclamation for Women in Construction Week for March 5-11 in the state of Alabama!
Members of the Montgomery and Greater Birmingham Chapters of the National Association of Women in Construction Week (NAWIC) were in attendance for the signing at the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery, Alabama. These Alabama chapters were recognized as a driving force in fostering community development through renovation and beautification projects, promoting skilled trades careers, and a positive vision of the future. The proclamation also distinguishes the Montgomery and Greater Birmingham Chapters’ many dedicated volunteers and recognizes them for their steadfast work and support of women in construction.
