Recently, BL Harbert International celebrated a construction milestone at Auburn University’s Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, Graduate Business Building. A formal beam signing ceremony took place where donors, faculty, students and guests left their mark by signing a column, which will reside at the entrance of the building.
Dr. Bill Hardgrave, former dean of the college of business and current provost and vice president of academic affairs, reminisced on the journey, planning the phases of the new, state-of-the-art facility. Hardgrave stated the building is because of the students and for the students.
Dr. Annette Ranft, dean of Harbert College, spoke further on the anticipation of the impact the building will have on Auburn University’s graduate and undergraduate programs.
The Auburn University Graduate School of Business is a 104,000-square-foot, five-story facility that will feature classrooms and meeting spaces. The facility includes adaptable spaces, collaborative suites, a special events auditorium, an ideation lab, an executive boardroom and a rooftop terrace.
BL Harbert International is serving as the construction manager. Construction is scheduled for completion in January 2019 and the building will open in spring 2019.
