The Sweetgrass Inn at Wild Dunes is officially open for business on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The new hotel opened this past weekend and even hosted its first wedding! The 153-room hotel will share its amenities such as the pool, spa, and fitness center with all of the residents of Wild Dunes. The Sweetgrass Inn is inspired by the native sweetgrass that grows along the Lowcountry’s barrier islands. The hotel has an 8,000-square-foot grand ballroom and terrace space. It also has a 6,000-square-foot room and rooftop which has beautiful ocean views. Guests will enjoy an expanded outdoor pool deck with a freestanding bar and restaurant.

The interior includes coastal design and fixtures including a feature art wall in the bar designed and installed by one of the employees from another hotel on the island. Made of oyster shells, drywall screws, and brown paper gift tags, this design resembles the oak trees of Wild Dunes.
