The new Anniston Federal Courthouse is home to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the Bankruptcy Court of Northern Alabama. It also provides workspace for the U.S. Marshals Service and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The reinforced masonry volumes are clad with cast stone providing a secure facility that meets ATFP requirements for blast resistance while respecting the existing 1920s era federal courthouse and surrounding historical district.
The new federal courthouse is seeking LEED Gold and SITES Silver certification.
On Monday, May 9, team members from BL Harbert joined over 400 guests and presenters to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new United States Courthouse in Anniston, Alabama.
