The Armor Training Brigade (ATB) Headquarters and Initial Entry Training (IET) Brigade Complex includes linear three-story barracks buildings housing 342 soldiers organized around an interior court with associated training and work facilities.
Multiple Buildings Under One Contract
The project includes 13 buildings totaling 280,044-square-feet including: three barracks buildings totaling 342 rooms, five company operations buildings, three battalion headquarters, a brigade headquarters, an arms vault, a dining facility, and a readiness module with associated sitework on a 35-acre site. The Directorate of Training Sustainment (DOTS) Facility is located on a separate five-acre site.
Design Management
The 13 building complex is comprised of eight different building types yielding eight different building designs in addition to site and utility improvements. BL Harbert teamed with three separate design firms to meet the extensive design demands and partnered with the USACE to manage design development.
Safety Programs that Work
Man-hours reached almost 635,000 for the ATB/IET Complex project. BL Harbert and our subcontractors achieved this level of man-hours with no lost time accidents. In addition, BL Harbert received a safety award from the USACE for our outstanding performance in execution of an effective safety program for the large project category of $50 million or greater.
