The Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center

Auburn University, Alabama

The new performing arts center includes a 1,200-seat main performance hall with an open lobby and porch that serves as additional space for performances.

The new center houses nationally touring Broadway productions and student musical and theater performances. Its location is in close proximity to the Jules Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art creating a new arts district for the university and community. The new facility contains over 100 rooms ranging from offices to orchestral practice rooms, and the main auditorium and lobby.

This project is the first in the state of Alabama to utilize SAM, the brick-laying robot. SAM100 stands for Semi-Automated Mason. SAM can lay more than 3,000 bricks per day.

BL Harbert served as the Construction Manager on this project.
