University of North Alabama Science and Technology Facility

Florence, Alabama

The five-story, 160,000-square-foot building houses biology, chemistry, industrial hygiene, physics and earth science. Also included in the building are conference areas, faculty offices, research facilities, specialized classrooms, dining area, computer laboratories, super laboratories and lecture halls. This facility offers a state-of-the-art environment for learning and research with the resources of enhanced space and advanced equipment.

A featured design of this complex is a FEMA rated storm shelter.   This shelter is built to withstand an F5 tornado.

We were able to use our new unmanned aerial technology to track the progress of this project.   This proved to be a welcomed savings to the project, as it helped us detect conflicts or issues in construction, as well as document our progress.
