Georgia Renewable Power - Plant Dismantle - Phase 1

Gormania, West Virginia

Dismantling and relocating an existing 92.5MW electric power generating plant.

All collected components were labeled and tracked then shipped to Franklin County, GA to be used in a re-fabricated, bio-mass plant. This project posed a huge logistical challenge because of the remote location of the project site.  The team had to overcome staffing and resource shortages along with working against the clock to get this plant disassembled before cold weather set in. Tracking systems were generated specific to this project to ensure the proper cataloging of the components for future re-use. Nearly 99% of the scope of this project was performed by BL Harbert direct-hire labor.
