The new boutique condominium includes three, two-story buildings with fourteen residences. The Manning Condos has the appearance of three, large single-family homes inclusive of high-end finishes, amenities and enclosed parking underground. The Manning is anchored between historic Mountain Brook and English Villages and is within walking distance of both the Botanical Gardens and the Birmingham Zoo. The condos are slated for completion by summer of 2016.

Twenty Years in the Making

For more than 20 years, real estate developer Margie Ingram has been planning for a condo development in the heart of Mountain Brook. Ingram and her brother began buying homes across from the gated Botanical Place development 22 years ago. The eight houses on the street were built during WWII and had fallen into disrepair. After purchasing all the homes and working to get them rezoned, Ingram’s dream was brought to life in Summer 2016. The Manning residents are able to walk to Mountain Brook Village, English Village and Lane Parke among other top attractions.

Although the Manning Condos are a new development in English Village, their name pays homage to one of Birmingham’s better known historical figures, Warren Manning. Manning was the original city planner of Mountain Brook.
